Student Leadership

Students have the opportunity to work in leadership roles throughout both the Primary and Secondary Campuses.

Through our Buddy System, as Aussie Sports Leaders, Sports Captains or as members of the Primary or Secondary Student Representative Councils, students have opportunities to voice their ideas, provide support to each other and to represent Sacred Heart College at events throughout the year.

Towards the end of each year, Year 9 students have the opportunity to nominate to become Peer Support Leaders who play a important role at the start of the following year, welcoming and mentoring Year 7s during their first few months of secondary school.

Towards the end of each year, students in Year 5 and Year 9 have the opportunity to nominate for Student Leadership for the following year. Student Leaders and our College Captains are elected by their peers and have many opportunities to develop their leadership skills in this important role.

Students can choose to become involved with community initiatives through participation in College outreach programmes, as a member of the SHC Vinnies Youth Conference, or can learn more about social justice through the SHC Justice Action Network.
